The metal skull symbolizes death, drugs and the machine, hence a killer cup of coffee.

No really, was readily apparent to me what it symbolized.

I generally like to leave it to the viewer on what it means to them also. So if you don't see death, drugs (caffeine) and the machine...that's fine, an image holds many messages.

Yah, thats a good attitude. (It also leaves way more space for the actual drawing of a picture, instead of beeing forced to think about a meaning first)

Thank you for asking. Art to me is not so much sticking to a specific vision or constraint, it is more of an ongoing process of development where the outcome is not known until completed.

I know exactly what you mean. You take 1 piece, then another one and so everything comes together somehow in the end. And if I am lucky, I can tell people hey this picture actually has a meaning.
